This European cooking project, which will run until November 16, 2023, brings together trainees from the Finnish partner school SATAEDU in Kokemäki and the Swedish partner school Jenny Nyströmskolan in Kalmar. Together with the students from the higher vocational school for nutrition and supply, they have set themselves the goal of creating 100 portions of international dishes for the school community every day.

A particular highlight of this project is the innovative idea of offering the prepared dishes according to the “Pay What You Want” principle. This generous gesture allows all guests to make an individual contribution and enjoy the culinary diversity from Finland, Germany and Sweden at the same time. The proceeds from the donations go to the school’s Friends’ Association to support future educational projects.

The first few days of the project bear witness to the deep integration of the international groups. The trainees not only grow together as individual personalities, but also as a homogeneous unit. Cooking together not only promotes the exchange of culinary know-how, but also the development of language skills and professional understanding. The trainees overcome language barriers, exchange cultural differences and create an atmosphere of cooperation and understanding.

In addition to the culinary aspect, the focus is also on promoting intercultural communication and teamwork. The trainees not only engage intensively with different cooking techniques, but also learn from each other, thus creating a bridge between the countries. This intercultural exchange goes beyond the culinary horizon and forms the basis for sustainable cooperation.

The highlight of the project on November 16, 2023 will be crowned by the state visit of Federal President Frank Walter Steinmeyer and Finland’s President Niinistö to Unkel. The trainees will have the unique opportunity to take part in this important event and witness it as a living example of European educational work. In addition, a gala dinner for dignitaries will be held in the late afternoon on the premises of BBS Alice Salomon in Linz, where all participants can enjoy the fruits of their joint work.

Overall, the Erasmus+ “SWEet FIN-GER FOOD cooking project” not only helps to promote gastronomic skills, but also emphasizes the importance of intercultural exchange. The trainees not only become experts in the kitchen, but also ambassadors of international cooperation and understanding. The project has already left a lasting impression and promises to create long-term connections beyond the culinary framework.

Bon appétit, Smaklig måltid, Hyvää ruokahalua and bon appétit to everyone!

[111
post-3332","hauptbeitrage","type-hauptbeitrage","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","schulleben-erasmus-en
["GET
