Technical college – curative education

Social care workers work in various forms of housing, day care centers, workshops, schools, outpatient services and similar facilities and provide assistance and basic care for people with physical, mental and emotional disabilities of all ages.

Do you enjoy working with people? Do you have at least an intermediate school-leaving certificate and at least two years of initial training (e.g. social assistance) or a vocational baccalaureate and have completed a four-month internship in a social care field? With these and similar prerequisites, you can enter the curative education course directly.

The training lasts a total of three years and takes place two days a week at school and 3-4 days a week in an appropriate facility for social care work with people with various disabilities.

In order to be able to do justice to the complex tasks in curative education nursing, we offer you modern forms of teaching in your school education that prepare you personally, professionally and methodically for your demanding work. In addition to the teaching of specialist curative education nursing knowledge, portfolio-supported learning development, cooperative forms of work and independent, project-oriented learning arrangements are therefore central elements of our course. In addition, extracurricular learning locations promote your professionalization. As part of your HEP training, you will have the opportunity to acquire the entrance qualification for studying at universities of applied sciences in Rhineland-Palatinate. We therefore maintain a level of method and content in the HEP training program that is appropriate for obtaining the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences.
