Vocational preparation year — Language

The aim of our language vocational preparation year is to prepare students to enter the world of work, to switch to an elective course of education or to enable them to transition to an entry-level qualification or dual training.

Young people who have recently immigrated and are of school age may attend the BVJ-S. The school decides on the type of schooling for the young people.

The focus is on learning German up to level B1 – depending on the individual’s level of proficiency – and getting to know the culture of German-speaking countries.

One school year of full-time teaching

Depending on language level: 3-week work placement

At the end of the course, participants receive a performance assessment based on the level of language competence they have achieved (A1/A2/B1)
