As part of the celebrations for the 125th anniversary of the Alice Salomon School, we experienced a sports festival on Thursday that left nothing to be desired in terms of variety and enthusiasm. At our campuses in Neuwied and Linz, we celebrated both sporting challenges and shared experiences that brought the school community closer together. In Neuwied, the class teams competed against a team of teachers in thrilling volleyball matches. The games were fiercely contested and the atmosphere in the sports hall was characterized by a rousing energy. The joy of the game and the team dynamics were palpable and made for unforgettable moments. It was not only the sporting competition that was inspiring, but also the camaraderie that was evident in every movement. At the Linz site, the sports festival was enriched by an equally colorful mix of activities. In the classrooms, the pupils were offered a varied program with stations such as line dancing, an obstacle course, throwing games and dodgeball. Relaxation techniques were also on the agenda, allowing everyone to recover and recharge their batteries after the physical challenges.

There was something for everyone, both for those with sporting ambitions and for those who preferred to be active at a slower pace. Many thanks to the entire team of our sports teachers, who planned and carried out this event with great dedication and commitment. Their commitment helped to ensure that this day was a complete success, not only in sporting terms, but also on a personal level. Through the shared joy of movement and games, we succeeded in bringing the school community even closer together and celebrating the anniversary in a very lively and positive way. We will all remember this day for a long time to come.
