Strong together!

Opening doors for the future

On Saturday, January 25, 2025, BBS Alice Salomon opened its doors to interested visitors and provided an inspiring insight into the colorful school life of the dedicated school community. Under the motto Strong together – with respect and tolerance! the guests were able to find out about various educational programs, future opportunities and the school’s diverse educational offerings. At the same time, the democratic and moral values that characterize learning and living together at the school were made clear.

The guests were offered a varied programme that was designed, organized and presented with a lot of passion by the students. In addition to informative stands and sales offers, creative hands-on activities such as a school quiz or the analysis of one’s own skin type invited visitors to discover. Musical performances also enriched the program: the training course for prospective educators, led by Jeanette Elfers, provided an atmospheric opening with singing and rhythmic sounds.

Another highlight was the visit of external partners, which further enriched the day. The signing of a cooperation agreement between BBS Alice Salomon and the city of Linz, represented by the city mayor Mr. Muthers, was particularly pleasing. This partnership is intended to further promote the learning and development of the younger generation. Mr. Devesa from the Supervisory and Services Directorate and Ms. Jacka from the Neuwied city administration were also present. In a panel discussion, they discussed the integration of refugees and immigrants together with other stakeholders from the school community.

A special musical highlight delighted the guests: the two talented guitarists Sascha and Germain Reinhard, family members of the famous musician Django Reinhardt, fascinated the audience with their impressive dexterity and created an unforgettable atmosphere.

All in all, it was an informative, inspiring and, above all, beautiful open day at the Linz site. All participants and visitors were able to gather valuable impressions and look forward to a cordial get-together. Interested parties can look forward to this day again next year. And until then, the motto is: Shaping the future together with respect and tolerance.
