At the staff meeting on 14.08.25, Head of School Dr. Stefan Gathmann-Herbst congratulated him on his 25th anniversary of service.
Dr. Gathmann-Herbst began his career as a research assistant at the University of Eichstätt and Bochum and completed his doctorate in Old Testament Studies (2001-2009). In 2009, he began his traineeship at the Julius Wegeler School in Koblenz with the subjects Catholic religion and German, having previously studied German at the same time in the evenings and at weekends. He was initially employed there in the painting, varnishing, cooks, BVJ and BF1 classes, and later also in the BGY, HBF S and BOS 2.
In 2024, he moved to BBS Alice Salomon, where he is convinced of its educational concept. As the future head of a BVJ class, his aim is to encourage courage, hope and a future-oriented approach in his students. In his own words, Mr. Gathmann has the feeling that he has arrived. He is looking forward to and has respect for what is to come.
Our school considers itself lucky to have him as a colleague.
