Your career starts here!
On February 25, 2025, this year’s Market of Opportunities took place at the BBS Alice Salomon in Neuwied in cooperation with the David-Röntgen-Schule (DRS) and the Ludwig-Erhard-Schule (LES). Under the motto “Your career starts here”, the event offered numerous opportunities to get to know different professional fields and gain practical insights.
Particular attention was paid to the areas of care, social services and home economics, which invited visitors to join in with interactive stations and practical demonstrations.
A real highlight was the age simulation, which impressively illustrated the physical challenges of getting older. The resuscitation exercises from the nursing lessons were also very popular and illustrated valuable first aid measures. There was also a lot to discover in the area of home economics: Participants were able to marvel at practical projects – and indulge in the culinary delights at the same time.
Another important part of the Market of Opportunities was the individual career advice provided by the home economics department, the trainee educators and the social assistance trainees. Many students took the opportunity to find out about their career prospects and plan the next steps for their future.

The enthusiasm and commitment of the visitors showed impressively that they are ready to actively shape their professional future. The Market of Opportunities 2025 was therefore not only an opportunity for career guidance, but also an inspiring outlook on the opportunities and possibilities that lie ahead for our learners.
