Every second counts in the event of a stroke!

BFPF20 students work with various people in need of care in nursing practice and learn about different clinical pictures. Stroke is still one of the most common causes of death in Germany.
During nursing training, the clinical picture is examined in more detail in class. The trainees learn about it and how they can care for stroke patients. In class, the students reported on their personal professional experiences, collected various information on the clinical picture and created information flyers in expert groups. During their research work, the students came across the term stroke unit, which is an acute care unit for stroke patients.
At the end of the learning series, a trained stroke nurse from a stroke unit was invited into the classroom to discuss the knowledge acquired about strokes.
